Take the first step to becoming a CASA advocate:

VOLUNTEER!

CASAVolunteer_Child

The only special background or equipment required is the heart to care for the most vulnerable children in our community and the determination to do something about it.

To become a CASA is to give a child a voice in the courts and a hope for a better outcome to their case. The purpose of a CASA volunteer is to be appointed by the court to advocate for children who come into the court system primarily as a result of alleged abuse or neglect.  The CASA’s role is to advocate for the child’s best interests in the court at every stage of the case once appointed by the court.  Additionally, the CASA’s roll is to be an individual who respects a child’s inherent right to grow up with dignity in a safe environment that meets that child’s best interests.
